The Iron County Care and Share will have an amazing website by August 1, 2010. Check back often for the new site name and link!

The CEDAR AREA INTERFAITH ALLIANCE is sponsoring a food tasting and cookbook sale event, The Joy of Tasting, this coming Saturday, May 22, 1-3:00 pm, at the historic Rock Church in Cedar City (75 E. Center Street). There is an admission charge of $2.00 and guests will be given tickets for eight different tables of food. There will also be tours of the historic church.
This will be the main event to sell our cookbook, The Joy of Sharing, that has 599 recipes from members of several local faiths. The price is $15 with $7 going to help fund the new Iron County Care and Share Homeless Shelter in Cedar City.
Please join us for this wonderful event. The cookbook is also available at the Iron County Visitor’s Center (581 N. Main Street) and the Catholic Thrift Shoppe (86 E. Center Street).

Bed & Breakfast Benefit

Eight  (8) of the local Bed & Breakfast establishments are teaming up with United Way for a community benefit, this Saturday, June 6^th, from 2 PM to 6 PM.

 

They are offering a tour of each of these B&Bs.  What a great way to get to know what is available and where you can suggest family and friends stay when they come to Cedar City!

 

For the price of one (1) ticket,  you get to tour all 8 B&Bs!

 

Ticket price = $5 each – or if you bring a donation of non-perishable food, the price is $3 each.  All proceeds will go to the United Way to be distributed to participating United Way agencies that all work hard to make this community a great place to live.

 

You can purchase the tickets in advance, or just purchase them at the door.   You will also be given a map to all 8 locations.
